The trading journal
My journal documents my own trades and decisions. Your results may be different. Journal entries describe what I saw, what I decided and what happened; they are written in the first person on purpose and must not be read as an instruction or recommendation to take the same trade. Only selected entries are made public, and entries may be incomplete or simplified.
Strategy Match and win rate
- Strategy Match is the share of documented criteria that were present in a trade. It does not indicate the probability that a trade will succeed. A trade with a 100% Strategy Match can fail, and a trade with a low Strategy Match can succeed.
- Win rate is calculated from recorded journal data as successful trades divided by successful plus failed trades. Open and breakeven trades are excluded. It is historical data, not a guarantee.
- Statistics are based on a limited number of trades, which may not be statistically meaningful.
